The first step in our Recruitment procedure is to fill out an Application Form. You can download it from this page, fill it in and send it back to us. Anyone is eligible for the training so long as they are:
* Resident in the Highlands and Islands Enterprise area * Educated to a good standard (e.g. good written and spoken English) * Have a keen interest in radio * Helpful, polite, able to use their initiative, bright, imaginative... need we go on? |

|
| We aim to informally interview everyone that applies for training. We know how difficult it can be to get that first break into radio and aim to limit the barriers that exist. For short courses, we generally accept all applicants who are eligible under ESF guidelines. In the event of courses being oversubscribed, we will apply selection criteria. |

Training is free to all course participants. No allowances are paid but help may be available to cover travel costs and dependant care costs. On the core training course at MFMT, we can usually cover the full out-of-pocket expenses. Travel, subsistence and accommodation are covered for visits out of Inverness.
Your training and work experience will be arranged within suitable hours on a part time basis. We always try to fit the training around the needs of courses participants but obviously some flexibility is required. Overall, training on the core MFMT training course can take 26-52 weeks depending on your progress.
