Certificate in Radio Broadcasting

Moray Firth Media Trust is an SQA Approved Centre delivering it's own vocational qualification - the Certificate in Radio Broadcasting. This is delivered through a mix of formal lectures and work place activity over a minimum period of 6 months, usually lasting one year. Course length depends on candidate's progress as it is competence based and assessed in the workplace.

The course is part-time and delivered at the local radio station, MFR. Students on the day-time course must be able to attend each Tuesday and for a minimum of three days per week which can be arranged flexibly. Students on the evening course will attend one evening per week with other hours of study at home.  It is expected that all participants would participate in the Restiricted Service Licence September ( RSL) - Monster FM.

We accept applications all year round and keep a waiting list so you can submit your application anytime. Although the deadline for session 2012 has passed the waiting list for future courses, subject to funding, is still open.

This course is free due to sponsorship by the European Social Fund, MFR, Skills Development Scotland, MG Alba and Highland Council.  Eligibility conditions apply.
