See what the Radioskills trainees are up to now!

Morning,

It's Friday again. Top story in the office today, Michael's in a rage over his editing. He's got 5 minutes of good audio and a 3 minute gap to fit it in. He's got to be ruthless with his editing style, and I do not envy the lad. To add to his pain, he was meant to be off today and is now doing Events. Ouch...

I was out this morning meeting Fraser MacKenzie of Atmos Consulting for some comments on renewable energy. The office is on the Longman Estate. It was an absolute treasure hunt to find it! Got there in the end though.

Next week is Absolute Feature Week. Last chance saloon time!

Cheers,
Gavin

Hey all,

A ridiculously early blog this morning, try 10 past 3 in the morning....no, your eyes don't decieve you, TEN PAST THREE and I'm still plodding away at all that needs done, with deadlines ever looming I thought I would get as much done as possible. I'm on holiday this week (yay!) so in between socialising lots and putting on loads of weight lol (gotta love the family!!) Im also trying to finish as much as I can before heading back into the studio for a few hours on Saturday. My 70's show looks like it's taking shape, as does one of the other features I'll be recording over the next few weeks.... hopefully I can get those in the bag pronto!! Remember me and the rest of the trainees go live between September 1st and 28th on 87.7 fm and monsterfm.co.uk ...

Anyway peeps, time waits for no man or in this case woman, so till next time...

Morning,

It's a bit of a heatwave today. It's just after 10am, and already it's boiling. I've opened the firedoor for extra air and that's somehow made it hotter. Nightmare!

We've got our Monster FM handbook meeting at 11. The boardroom is usually one of the coldest rooms in the building but perhaps not today!

In feature news, I've decided to make a three minute feature out of the Highland Paranormal Group audio, so I'll be finishing that up today. I'll hopefully speaking to Duncan about Battle Recreations either today or tomorrow, and I'll be seeing Sylvina from the Highland Historical Record next Tuesday. Still busy.

I'm considering leaving my blogs until the end of the day from now on, so I have more material to work with!

Cheers,
Gavin

Yeah, it's hot in the office and not just because of the weather.
Monster FM is little over a month away and the VQ is progressing much faster than any of us anticipated. Feature making is going on non-stop now as we need to get as many made as possible, and time in the studio is what we all need to get in some much needed practice too! lol
I'm scared by everything going wrong, but I know the others have got my back as I have theirs, so there's no problems really, I just wish someone could turn the sun down, it's BOILING in here!!!

Morneeen,

It's the last week of July. Oh, oh!

We have a Monster FM meeting this Wednesday to go over the Station Bible, as it's known. It's basically a book that is your go-to-guide, should any questions arise. We'll also be discussing features too, as our deadline for those is fast approaching.

In the Office, the major news story is that Michael, a.k.a The Milky Bar Kid, has gotten himself stranded in Shetland. He was seeing some tall ships, and can't get back! We wish him well in his journey back. The secondary story is that everyone seems to have Hay Fever kicking in. Bad times.

Cheers,
Gavin
