Twas the night before broadcast, when all through the station
Not a needle was stirring and no concentration,
The headphones were hung by the microphones with care,
In hopes that Monster FM would soon be there.........

Here we are - the evening before we launch Monster FM on 87.7 FM!  Months of hard work by all the volunteers training at Radioskills in MFR.  I've worked out that we've clocked up over 5000 hours of training this year. Hours and hours of practise in the studio, balancing training with home life- not easy.  We have a great range of shows and we hope we have something to suit everyone. Then there's the MFR Cash for Kids team - Lyndsay and Nicola.  They're usually out raising money for disadvantaged people in our transmission area; instead they're taking to the airwaves to broadcast to primary school children on Fridays.  And last, but not least, Inverness Hospital Radio who are back in the studio tonight finishing off their shows ready for the next four Saturdays. They'll be celebrating 40 years of broadcasting in Raigmore Hospital this year.

Has all the work been worth it?  I'll let you decide! ( But I think so....)

It's Sunday night and I'm just about to finish off the revised show clock for the practice for our run-through in the morning!

Gemma and I decided that since we are going to have to get up fairly early for the Brunch Show during September that we may as well have a wee 'go' of getting ourselves up early and getting ourselves to the Monster FM studio.

I am looking forward to it.  It will be nice and peaceful - getting up and showering, whilst the rest of the gang are giving it 'ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZD's.  Also it's kind of like Christmas - you don't mind getting up coz it's so exciting.

We'll be doing this a few times over the next week or so - because from Wednesday 1st September - we'll be doing it everyday.  So don't miss it! x x x

OOH and how excited/terrified we all are! My fellow Brunch buddy, Virginia and myself got some practice in the Monster FM studio on Wednesday - had some teething problems with the new desk but nothing that a bit of practice shouldn't sort...we hope! We've also been busy in the kitchen making doubly sure the recipes we'll be providing you with for our yummy Brunch Munch food actually work. Here's a little sneak peek and one of the yummy things we'll be telling you how to make...it's also photographic evidence that I CAN make something in the kitchen without burning the house down    




Mmmmm! Ahem, now for some shameless plugging....Virginia and I will be presenting the Brunch Show every weekday from 9-11am on Monster FM 87.7 FM. We'll have the Brunch Munch, Movie Mondays, Idols, Influences, Soundtracks to Life along with guests - including our very own doctor and a member of the ICA telling us what's happening in Inverness over the weekends of September.

I'll be around on Sunday evenings from 5-7pm for all you musicals fans out there to tune in to. I'll be playing all the best showtunes plus a few you might not have heard. I'm also hoping to have two very special guests making an appearance...so watch this space!

Well... Not quite 24 hours... 2 weeks more like and I'm having my Ninteenth Nervous Breakdown.
I am sooooooo unprepared... Hopefully it'll work out in the end... If not, it could just be an hour and a half of a Taste of CHAOS!!!!! So either way, it should be interesting...
Or the worst case scenario could happen... And I end up sleeping in.
But I've got all my interview people sorted... I just need to interview and meet them... Ahhhhhhhh!!! Soooooo much to do!!!!!!! And then there's working full time. Working 9 to 5, what a way to make a living!
It'll work out... It will... It'll all come together.
